WordPress migration, no downtime—flat rate starting at €149.
Staging test before go-live. Backup at every step. DNS switch happens at night. You won't notice anything except that your site suddenly loads faster. Based in Berlin, building for Columbus and all of the US. 🇺🇸
Everything that makes up your WordPress site.
Database, media, plugins, themes, settings, DNS. Nothing gets left behind at the old host.
-
Database and media library
Complete WordPress database plus every image, video, and attachment. No manual re-linking — all URLs are rewritten automatically.
-
Plugins and themes
Active plugins, themes, and child themes transfer 1:1. Settings, licenses, and custom code come across intact.
-
DNS and email
DNS records are prepared and cut over at the right moment. Email keeps flowing during the migration — no dropped customer orders.
-
Rollback plan ready
Before we flip the switch, a complete snapshot of the old host exists. If anything goes sideways, you're back online in 15 minutes.
Four steps to your new host.
Typical timeline: 2 to 5 business days from order to production. DNS cutovers happen overnight so your visitors don't notice.
-
Day 1
Discovery and access
We inspect your current install: WordPress version, PHP version, active plugins, database size, any special configuration. You hand over FTP/SFTP and admin access.
-
Day 2–3
Staging migration
We rebuild your site on our staging environment. You get a test URL and verify everything works — with the preview you can check your own stuff before it goes live.
-
Day 3–4 (overnight)
DNS cutover
We flip DNS overnight (2–4am CET) when traffic is lowest. The change itself takes minutes — propagation up to 24 hours in the worst case, usually under 2 hours.
-
Day 4–5
Verification and handover
After go-live we check everything: forms, checkout, email, performance, SEO redirects. You get a short report and a handover of the new credentials.
Transparent pricing, no surprises.
Fits most WordPress sites. Up to ~50 GB database and media, no special custom setups.

What a migration feels like when it goes right.
Digital Domination moved my site to a new server overnight—nobody noticed until I checked the load times. The site is significantly faster now, the SSL cutover was clean, and the new landing pages bring in more inquiries than my old setup ever did.
What clients ask about WordPress migration.
How much does a WordPress migration cost?
€149 flat for standard migrations (content, plugins, themes, DNS). Complex cases like WooCommerce shops with open orders, Multisite, or custom code get a custom flat quote after a 30-minute call — typically €349–€1499.
How long does a WordPress migration take?
Typically 2 to 5 business days from order to production. The actual migration takes 4 to 24 hours; the rest is staging tests and DNS propagation. You don't need to pause your site — we work in the background.
Is there downtime during a WordPress migration?
No, when planned correctly. We cut DNS over at night and run both sites in parallel until propagation completes. During the transition, visitors see either the old or the new site — never an error page.
Can I keep my domain during the WordPress migration?
Yes. Your domain stays with your current registrar (e.g., IONOS, Strato, GoDaddy). We only change the DNS records so your domain points to our server. You keep full control.
Will my WooCommerce orders transfer with the migration?
Yes, including customer data, order history, payment status, and product catalog. For shops with live orders, we use a 30–60 minute maintenance page to make sure no orders get lost between the old and new system.
What happens to my Google rankings after a WordPress migration?
If you're only changing hosts (same domain and URL structure): nothing. A clean migration has no impact on rankings. If URLs change, we set 301 redirects and protect your rankings — expect a one-week dip in monitoring, then back to baseline.
Can I migrate from TYPO3 or Joomla to WordPress?
Yes. TYPO3 and Joomla migrations are more complex than WordPress-to-WordPress — the database schema, URL structure, and plugins aren't compatible and need to be rebuilt. Custom flat quote after discovery, typically €790–€2490.
What if something breaks after the migration?
We keep a rollback plan: a snapshot of the old site stays in parallel for at least 30 days. If anything goes wrong we can flip back in 15 minutes. On the first business day after go-live we're available to fix any issues immediately.
Do I need to pause my WordPress site during the migration?
No. We work on a copy on our staging server. Your production site keeps running the whole time. Only at the DNS switch overnight do we flip to the new infrastructure — and by that point it's been tested and approved.
30 minutes free. We'll check your migration.
Send us your current host, WordPress version, and any unusual plugins — we'll tell you on a call whether €149 covers it or it's going to be a custom flat quote.
