Is a self-hosted AI worth it, or is ChatGPT Teams good enough?
ChatGPT Teams is legit. But: everything lives at OpenAI, models are locked, and leaving is painful. Your own setup keeps every conversation yours, lets you swap models, and stays portable.
Is a self-hosted AI setup GDPR-compliant?
Yes, when set up right. Servers in Germany, Article 28 GDPR data processing agreement, your content isn’t used for model training. We deliver every document your DPO needs. The legal call is theirs—we supply the material.
Which AI models can I run on a self-hosted setup?

Where is my data stored with a self-hosted AI solution?
On your own server in Germany (Hetzner Falkenstein). Not on OpenAI’s US servers. At project end you get full server access, backups, docs, and a written handover—complete data export on request.
Does a self-hosted AI scale from 10 to 100 users?
Yes. The 10-user setup grows with you transparently. Past 50 users we add a second server—you won’t notice beyond “it keeps working.”
Are prices shown gross or net? How is EU VAT handled?
All prices are net; VAT is added only where it applies. We work with businesses, public bodies and nonprofits, not consumers:
EU businesses, with or without a VAT ID, and organizations with a VAT ID: reverse charge (Article 196 of the EU VAT Directive). You account for the VAT; our invoice shows none.
EU public bodies and nonprofits without a VAT ID, such as schools and associations: hosting and Website Maintenance carry your country’s VAT, which we report through the non-Union OSS (Ireland). Website builds, migrations, audits, the Fix Pack, the sprints and Managed Visibility carry no VAT (place of supply: United States, § 3a(1) UStG). AI agents: the one-time setup carries no VAT; the monthly hosting or maintenance fee carries your country’s VAT through the non-Union OSS, like Website Maintenance. You pay by invoice and bank transfer, not through Stripe.
We check any VAT ID you give in VIES. If VIES doesn’t confirm it, we treat it as not given.
Customers outside the EU pay no VAT.
